Description Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Finance Manager to play a key role on the Infrastructure Central Finance team. This team is responsible for planning and tracking billions of dollars of investments and operating expenses in data centers, servers and networking equipment and that allow AWS to serve customers across the globe. This role will be responsible for driving insights and analysis that will help shape the AWS investment strategy in servers, inclusive Generative AI. The successful candidate will lead a team to build scalable analyses, key performance indicators, and insights that will be shared with AWS Business and Finance Leadership to inform decision making. This position will work closely with multiple stakeholders in finance, product development and supply chain across the organization to align on critical inputs, ranges of outcomes, and confidence intervals. This is a high judgment role that has direct exposure to Amazon’s C-suite and board of directors, requiring someone who can execute without structured guidance, navigate ambiguity, and effectively deliver results in a fast-paced environment. Key job responsibilities • Develop and maintain detailed infrastructure capital and spending forecasts; track actual spending and bridge variances; partner with stakeholders to identify and communicate insights and business risks to senior leaders. • Identify opportunities for simplifying or automating processes with upstream and downstream stakeholders to eliminate defects and reduce lead time to build reports and insights • Coordinate and track the development of infrastructure goals and strategic projects; identify and communicate insights and business risks to leaders. Basic Qualifications - 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience - Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science), or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience Preferred Qualifications - 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience - 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience - MBA, or CPA - Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results - 6+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience - 6+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
