Future CFOs wanted! Amazon seeks an experienced Finance Manager to lead support for a new program that takes the company’s Think Big leadership principle to the max. You will play a key role among innovators, entrepreneurs, builders, and dreamers with the shared goal of launching entirely new products and services that positively impact the lives of our customers. The successful candidate will be strategic in thinking, analytical in approach, and have a demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple responsibilities and influence decisions through strong interpersonal and communication skills, financial analyses, and the creation of alternatives. This role requires regular interaction with business and finance leaders as well as other teams across Amazon.
Key job responsibilities
- Deliver data-driven financial models, insights, narratives, and recommendations that influence key program decisions, including business development deals, product roadmap, pricing, annual investments, etc.
- Partner with business leaders on various initiatives, including product development prioritization, resource optimization, goal setting, etc.
- Drive financial strategy and vision. Identify new monetization opportunities and cost-saving initiatives to grow free cash flow and long term NPV.
- Perform various ad hoc analyses to help leaders solve business problems and understand the financial implications.
- Lead program-level annual, quarterly, and monthly budgeting processes.
A day in the life
Many assignments will be ambiguous and require a highly insightful, intellectually curious leader with good judgement who can assess situations through multiple lenses including the customer, business owner, and financial investor. You will work independently and cross-functionally to drive finance support and deliver results in a rapidly evolving, start-up environment.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 4+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA, or CPA
- Experience delivering results for large, cross-functional initiatives/projects
- Experience in solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits)
- Experience working cross-functionally with a wide breadth of business roles, stakeholders, and leaders

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
