The Position

Join Roche as a Finance Enterprise Partner and become a key driver of our financial strategy and operational excellence in the Czech Republic. In this vital role, you will leverage your broad strategic and analytical expertise to provide critical insights, set objectives, and support transformative initiatives that ensure a sustainable and successful business.

You will act as a strategic thinker with excellent business acumen, using your deep understanding of financials to guide decision-making and support tactical initiatives across the affiliate. As a member of the broader Roche Finance Community, you will be a trusted partner to the business, helping to shape our long-term direction and deliver outstanding value to patients.

Your Mission: Key Responsibilities

As a Finance Enterprise Partner, you will:

Act as a Strategic Thought Partner: Collaborate closely with business teams (e.g., Disease Area Teams) to shape long-term strategy, model business scenarios, and provide data-supported insights that drive sound financial decisions.

Drive Financial Planning & Analysis: Help to lead the affiliate's financial forecasting (Sales & OPEX), guide strategic resource allocation decisions, and champion the continuous improvement of our agile planning framework.

Ensure Financial Performance: Monitor and provide transparency on financial performance, track key metrics, identify deviations from targets, and propose corrective actions to ensure business objectives are met.

Develop Commercial Strategy: Play a key role in developing coherent commercial strategies, co-creating pricing strategies, and evaluating new business opportunities to generate sustainable revenue.

Entrepreneurial Mindset: Proactively identify new opportunities, take calculated risks, and drive innovative solutions to challenges, fostering a culture of growth and adaptability within the finance function and across the business.

Demonstrate Strong Business Acumen: Possess a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, market dynamics, and key business drivers, enabling effective financial steering and strategic decision-making.

Enhance Processes & Systems: Identify opportunities for simplification and efficiency gains, drive continuous process improvements, and contribute to the automation and digitalization of finance processes.

Collaborate and Influence: Partner with internal stakeholders (locally and in our region), balancing the roles of trusted advisor and guardian to reveal opportunities, manage risk, and optimize resource allocation.

Controlling capabilities:  Establish and maintain robust financial controls, conduct variance analysis, manage cost centers, and ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies to safeguard assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.

Who You Are: Qualifications & Experience

We are looking for a professional who is organized, strategically focused, and able to thrive in a constantly evolving environment.

Essential Qualifications:

Education: A minimum of an undergraduate degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, or Economics.

Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience in a Finance Business Partnering, Controlling, or similar strategic finance role.

Language Skills: Fluent in both Czech and English (written and spoken)

​Technical Skills:

Deep understanding of Corporate Finance, Financial Modelling, and data analysis.

Experience with SAP and the Microsoft Office suite.

Proficiency in data mining and data visualization tools is highly desirable

Demonstrated strategic agility and strong business acumen.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a talent for translating complex data into actionable insights.

Strong influencing, communication, and collaboration skills.

An experimental and agile mindset, focused on the customer and continuous improvement.

Provide comprehensive financial support to business partners, enabling them to achieve their objectives and make informed decisions.

Influence, Persuade and guide stakeholders towards optimal financial outcomes, leveraging data and expertise to build consensus and drive action

Collaborate actively with business teams to develop innovative financial solutions and strategies that align with broader organizational goals.

Critically evaluate existing processes, assumptions, and proposals, offering constructive feedback and alternative perspectives to foster continuous improvement and robust decision-making.

Preferred Qualifications:

An MBA or a postgraduate degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.

A professional qualification such as CPA, CA, ACA, or CIMA is a plus.

Experience working in a consulting role or within an agile/networked organization

Experience in Pharmaceutical companies 

Open to work internationally (global mobility)
