About the Role:

As the Finance Director, you will be responsible for provide strategic financial leadership and drive performance of the organization in the Greater China region. Responsible for overseeing financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, risk management, and compliance.  Ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the local market, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record of delivering results in a multinational corporate matrix environment.

Key finance business partner and trusted advisor for the Business Leader and local senior leadership team, enabling and driving business performance compliantly and innovatively. Collaborates with local and global functions, APAC Corporate team.


Responsibilities:

Develop and implement the financial strategy for the region, aligning with the overall corporate and APAC objectives and growth plans.Provide timely, robust, and actionable insights, innovative solutions, and recommendations to senior management to support decision making and drive business performance.Lead the financial planning, budgeting, and forecast processes for the local region, leveraging the APAC pool of Financial Analysts.Conduct comprehensive financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and scenario modelling, to identify key performance indicators and optimize financial outcomes.Play a key role in strategic and tactical planning, drive and present the annual 3-year operating plan.Establish and maintain effective risk management and internal control systems in compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.Identify and monitor risks & opportunities, mitigate financial risks, and ensure integrity of financial operations. Key member of the regional Compliance Committee.Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, for senior management, shareholders, and regulatory bodies.Ensure compliance with accounting standards and provide insights on financial performance and trends. Focus primarily on internal management reporting but partnering with GFSS on external.Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and optimization of financial systems and procedures.


Requirements:

10+ years post-qualified experience in FP&A and business partnering with business leaderProven experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis, with a track record of delivering results and driving financial performanceIn depth knowledge of finance, accounting principles, financial regulations, and risk management practicesStrong leadership and strategic thinking abilities, with the capacity to effectively influence decision-making at the executive levelExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and build relationships with diverse stakeholders. Clearly and succinctly conveying information and ideas to individuals and groups in a variety of situations; communicating in a focused and compelling way that drives others’ thoughts and actions; engaging the audience to help them understand and retain the messageStrong business acumen, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilitiesFluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin
