Job Description:
We are looking for a Finance Director to ensure the expected margin and profitability of the European DEXIS business and to define and implement an effective financial strategy. You will provide financial leadership and partner closely with DEXIS European Commercial leadership team, production site management team based in Tuusula (Finland) and the software development site management based in Mechelen (Belgium). In this role you report to the global CFO, Diagnostics and manage a team of three experienced finance professionals.
In this role, you will be working closely with the entire European leadership team to implement strategies and achieve both sales and financial targets. You will mainly cooperate with the Europe Commercial Director, Customer Experience Director and with the Site Directors and their respective management teams to set for a profitable DEXIS Europe business and to drive cultural and operational changes and improvements.
Your main responsibilities will be:
Managing annual budgeting, monthly reporting & forecastingIdentifying and managing financial risks and opportunities, driving continuous improvement initiatives both within finance and the entire businessEnsuring compliance amongst business partnersEnsuring financial data accuracy and efficient and effective internal control systemCollaborating closely with other Directors across Europe to align with financial expectations and to develop and implement the most effective financial and organizational strategiesLeading a team with three direct reports (two based in Finland and one in Belgium)Cooperating with accounting center of excellence teamDriving cultural and operational changes in the finance organization and across the business#LI-PG1
Job Requirements:
To excel in this role, you need consolidated finance expertise, strong business acumen, and a thorough understanding of international corporate financial processes. Prior experience in leading a team remotely is essential. A relevant educational background (such as MSc in Finance or Accounting, MBA, or similar) combined with well-developed analytical skills will enable you to create complex financial models. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are crucial for effective collaboration with various stakeholders. You should have at least 10 years of experience in Finance, FP&A, or business control, preferably in a US stock-listed company, and managing a multinational team in an international company. Fluent English, knowledge of US GAAP, and strong skills in accounting, business controlling, and analysis are essential. Practical experience with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) is also required. As Finance Director Europe, you should demonstrate strong results orientation, the ability to drive improvements, and influence others through effective teamwork within the finance team and across departments and regions. A mindset for growth and continuous improvement, integrity, and compliance are fundamental for success in this role.
The position should be located ideally in Finland (Tuusula) but we could consider a remote location based in Europe.
