Finance Director, CFO

We are currently\nseeking a qualified candidate to fill the role of Finance Director on an at\nleast 3-year secondment basis. The secondment is expected to begin on June 19,\n2025 and will run through June 19, 2028 with the possibility of return to your\nposition upon completion, in accordance with company guidelines.

As the Finance Director, CFO you will be a\nkey member of the business’ leadership team. This role will manage all aspects\nof the company's financial operations, playing a crucial role in strategic\ndecision-making and ensuring the company's financial health and long-term\ngrowth. This role will oversee financial planning, reporting, budgeting, and\nforecasting for our Battery electrolyte organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES

 Act as the lead financial advisor to the business leadership team, provide financial leadership and drive financial performance of the business.Responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the business’ operations. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial health and sustainability of the business during its project stage and beyond.As a newly formed business, this role will require the setup and establishment of all financial operations from the ground up, including budgeting, forecasting, accounting, and complianceProvide financials analysis, reporting and decision-making support for key business activities including:
Sales and margin analysisCustomer & Product-line profitability analysisCommercial Deal Analysis (pricing, terms, level of service, value capture)Business Case Development around new business capture and growth opportunitiesProvide financial analysis and support to the business in the Sales, Inventory and Operating Plan (SIOP) process, specifically in the area of demand forecastingDrive all key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metricsImplement strategies to manage working capital effectively, including accounts receivable and accounts payableLead the business Annual Operating Plan (AOP) process as well as actively participate in the business’ Strategic Plan (STRAP) processFoster a strong internal control environment within the business. Key areas include controls in revenue recognition, sales accounting, commercial contract management and financial reporting processesProactively support business with ad hoc analysis related to new contracts, royalty payments and product pricing adjustmentsMonitor and analyses budgetary performance regularly to identify areas for cost optimization and efficiency improvementMonitor capital requests and expenditures to ensure within budget and planOversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems, ensuring compliance with appropriate Generally AcceptedAccounting Principles and other regulatory requirementsMaintain internal control safeguards and coordinate all audit activitiesEnsure that the business is\nin continuous compliance with all statutory, regulatory, banking, tax, and\nother external and internal operating, reporting and record keeping\nrequirements to which the business is subject

Must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements. 

YOU\nMUST HAVE

Minimum of 8 years of experience in financial analysis or related rolesMust be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements.Excellent (proficient) English language and Chinese language skills
