**POSITION DETAILS**
Brooklyn College of the City University of New York (CUNY) is seeking a Finance Coordinator in the Office of Accounts Payable. Reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager, the Finance Coordinator will provide support for Brooklyn College Non-Tax Levy (NTL) and Tax Levy (TL) Entities through the review and process of payments while remaining compliant with CUNY, State guidelines and regulatory requirements.
In addition to the CUNY Title Overview, the Financial Coordinator’s duties include but are not limited to the following:
+ Ensure timely payments for Brooklyn College Tax Levy (TL) and Non-Tax Levy (NTL) Entities
+ Review payments to ensure accuracy and proper documentation
+ Assist in streamlining the payment process and implementing efficient follow-up procedures
+ Coordinate and provide excellent customer support to departments by communicating clearly and effectively
+ Correspond with vendors, resolving invoice discrepancies, and maintaining positive vendor relationships
+ Maintain and update payment data reports for Tax Levy and Non-Tax Levy entities
+ Assist the Accounts Payable Manager with obtaining and analyzing data from all business entities
+ Assist with month-end and year-end closing, preparing reports, and providing supporting documentation for audits
+ Ensure adherence to CUNY and State policies, financial regulations, and internal controls
+ Create service tickets, maintain ticket statuses and ensure tickets are resolved and closed
+ Perform other duties as assigned
**QUALIFICATIONS**
Bachelor's Degree required.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Accounts Payable and Higher Education experience
+ Knowledge of PeopleSoft/Oracle and JAGGAER system, specifically the finance and procure-to-pay module
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: especially Excel for data analysis and reporting
+ Attention to detail, strong organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
+ Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a demanding and complex work environment
**CUNY TITLE OVERVIEW**
Performs financial analysis and administrative work related to College or unit accounting.
- Prepares, reconciles and distributes expenditure and related accounting reports
- Creates and maintains various spreadsheets related to financial analysis
- Processes and tracks transactional entries
- Provides support in the administration of various business operations
- Coordinates with various departments on accounting matters
- Monitors systems and operations to assure a smooth workflow
- Performs related duties as assigned.

$48,647 - $54,726; Salary commensurate with education and experience.
