The Role & What You Will Be Doing
We are looking for a person to a 50% role (50% of normal working hours) to support especially our technical and statutory finance. This role is a new/modified role. Present position holder will retire soon and part of the present work has been moved to Viatris global centers. A new position will cover remaining local tasks and be the primary point of contact to various global teams.

Supervise monthly closure and reconciliations under US GAAP, ensuring accounting transactions and reporting to Corporate are performed correctly on time
Review the P&L accounts for accuracy prior Group Reporting
Support Statutory Finance Centre of Excellence (CoE)
with information needed for the preparation and closing of the statutory financial statements and group packages in accordance with local GAAP and US GAAP
helping with Income tax and corporate tax requirements
supporting CoE with internal & external financial auditors
Support and be the first point of contact to various shared service center teams for accounting and administration issues (especially AP, AR, GL, IDT, AP payment and T&E teams)
Support and be the first point of contact to payroll team at shared service center (including local payroll and legal insurances and benefits)
Payroll and benefits forecasting
Monthly fluctuation analysis especially on payroll and benefits accounts
Supporting local commercial organization with administrative-financial processes (including reviewer role of Purchase Orders, capex asset creation, cost allocations)
Management, updating and optimizing of all administrative-financial processes and procedures in accordance with internal audits rules (including master data, approver matrix and e-invoicing coordinations)
Manage and oversee the daily operations of the core accounting department (including purchase orders for the department, new vendors)
Ensure that accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls are fully compliant with Viatris policies
About Your Skills & Experience
For this role, we’re looking for a candidate who has an effective combination of the following qualifications, skills and experiences:
Degree in Business Administration or similar in the Accounting and Finance areas
Strong knowledge of accounting
Minimum of 3 years experience in accounting
Proactive approach, organizational capacity, problem solving, confidentiality, ability to work in a team
Good knowledge of tax legislation and general accounting of financial statements in local GAAP and US GAAP
Fluent in written and spoken Finnish & English
Good knowledge of Office package and in particular Excel
Good knowledge of SAP is an advantage
