A new opportunity has arisen within our Commercial Finance Team, supporting the fast-growing Technology division at Next.
Our Technology teams are at the forefront of delivering key business initiatives – from maintaining IT infrastructure and security, to developing our UK and 60+ international websites, as well as the platforms we power for global brands like Victoria’s Secret, GAP, and Reiss.
This role offers the perfect blend of Analysis, FP&A and Stakeholder Management, making it an excellent stepping stone towards Finance Manager and beyond.
What you’ll be doing
As a Finance Business Partner, you’ll play a key role in providing decision support, cost analysis and financial planning to our Technology leadership team. Your responsibilities will include:
Business Partnering – Building strong relationships with senior managers, producing insightful management information, and providing analysis to support operational business cases.
Month End Reporting – Owning cost areas, reconciling balance sheets, and explaining performance through analysis and review with Directors and senior finance partners.
Budgeting & Forecasting – Leading the forecasting and budgeting process for Technology costs, challenging assumptions, and ensuring recruitment plans, software contracts and project deliverables align with forecasts.
Process & Reporting Development – Improving existing processes, creating efficient Excel-based solutions, and developing reporting suites to support senior decision-making.
About you:
We’re looking for someone who is:
A qualified accountant (e.g. ACCA, CIMA).
Proven track record in building strong relationships and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
Experience of working in a fast paced environment
You must be able to demonstrate excellent commercial awareness
Highly skilled in Excel and data analysis, with the ability to manipulate and interpret complex data.
Analytical, logical and a strong problem solver.
A clear and effective communicator.
