This role supports the GSSC and is responsible for managing the end-to-end process of chargeback billings and collections.

Primary Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly chargeback FTE billings, true-up billings, reimbursements, and ad hoc billings, ensuring timely issuance to divisions.

• Record issued billings and reimbursements in Oracle accounting software.

• Record incoming payments from divisions and apply to the correct accounts and invoices.

• Reconcile customer accounts to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted.

• Monitor aging reports, follow up on overdue accounts, and coordinate with divisions to resolve payment issues.

• Respond to inquiries from divisions, GSSC towers, and GSSC FP&A regarding billing, payments, and account status.

• Collaborate with divisions and GSSC towers to resolve billing issues.

• Maintain positive relationships with customers while ensuring timely collections.

• Maintain accurate and organized records of all AR transactions.

• Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Ensure training and knowledge is up to date. This includes but is not limited to mainframe applications reporting tools and general accounting processes.
• Assist in developing financial systems and procedures to meet current and anticipated future financial accounting and reporting in line with corporate and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure compliance with Australian Office and local reporting deadlines / timeframes.
• Ensure that Finance is proactively engaged in business initiatives
• Maintain regular communication with peers across QBE, as appropriate to ensure consistency, transfer of knowledge and promotion of best practice.
• Provide analysis and commentary regarding accounts and financial reports to Senior Management.

Required Education

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience

Required Experience

• 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in accounts receivable management or general accounting.

• Experience with Oracle accounting software is considered an advantage.

Preferred Competencies/Skills

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact at a Senior Management level
• Strong analytical skills and proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications to support invoice preparation, reporting, and reconciliation tasks.

Preferred Knowledge

• Advanced knowledge of organizational accounting procedures.
