Overview The Commercial Finance Associate Manager is a key member of the Commercial Finance team and is responsible for supporting the Quaker Portfolio within the Walmart and Metro Retail Sales Teams. Responsibilities What you’ll be working on: Responsible for identifying any fluctuations between the plan/forecast and actual sales trends. Communicate any concerns and develop solutions for driving sales or for modifying/adjusting activities to variations from the plan. Provide insight and analysis into drivers of change for key metrics: Vol, Gross Sales $, Trade, DNP, Trade Rate, Margin Contribution and Profitability versus prior year, plan, and forecast by customer and product. Manage tight control and governance of Trade Spend programs with the customer team and ensure that ROI targets and funding principles are met. Ensure deduction balance and post audits are managed within the current targets. Actively dispute and help resolve all invalid deductions/post audits with the customer team. Provide insight and analytics that help the DOS/KAM’s on customer team develop robust planning procedures (CAPS, CDA negotiations) that deliver against AOP metrics, and accurate quarterly business forecasts. Ensure the customer team utilizes the Pricing Council process to review "pre" & "post" promotional event analysis and highlight areas of opportunity. Coach, support and develop team members. This includes Deduction analysts and finance analysts on the Commercial Finance team (the latter group resides in Mexico at the global capability center). Providing support for key business deliverables providing clear guidance to sales team- all focused on delivering profitable growth. Support the successful transition to SAP TPM, which will be Quaker Canada’s trade management system of the future, as well as the entire suite of new reporting tools being rolled out as part of PEP’s PGT journey. This includes, but is not limited to, adherence to financial processes to deliver mandated KPIs associated with trade management within the new system. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Business, CMA or MBA preferred 5 – 8 years of financial analytical and planning experience Advanced Excel, Power BI, and SAP AFO capabilities Strong financial modeling skills.
