The Employee Expenses Assistant in the Accounts Payable (AP) department of P2P is responsible for processing and auditing employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. This role involves meticulous data verification, effective communication with employees, and collaboration with various departments to resolve discrepancies and issues related to expense claims.
Audit and process expense reports for payment using the company's ERP system.
Ensure compliance with local accounting regulations and internal policies.
Answer employee questions regarding expenses and provide guidance and support.
Verify receipts and documentation for accuracy and legitimacy.
Distribute emails and tickets related to finance to the appropriate person or team.
Provide support to various stakeholders regarding the expense report process.
Stay updated on company expense policies and procedures. Communicate policies to employees.
Support month-end closing activities for accounts payable.
Assist with other administrative tasks and projects as needed.
High school diploma or equivalent; an associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and ability to meticulously review data and documents for accuracy and compliance
Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Prior experience in an office or finance/accounting environment is preferred but not required.
