In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the flawless processing of supplier invoices and accurate financial records. Your work will directly impact our ability to compete in the industry and efficiently implement our financial strategies.
A day in the Life:
Process supplier invoices accurately and efficiently throughout the monthMust verify all invoices for proper approval and valid General Ledger accounts & cost centresAlign with all internal control procedures and ensure accurate financial records, particularly in accordance with the Corporate Approval Authority MatrixEnsure the accurate treatment of VAT on expense invoicesAnalyse purchases by expense type to ensure accurate coding Proactively chasing outstanding actions to ensure invoices are processed and paid according to payment termsReconcile supplier accounts and resolve differencesEnsure timely escalations brought up by supplier disputes and queries to the ManagerIdentify issues in the day-to-day processes and share findings with ManagerRaise weekly payment runs for multiple entities and confirm all bank details are correctMaintaining the Purchase Order System direct deliveries and ensuring they processed every dayUse financial AI software to process cash allocation Play a vital role in achieving the team's important performance targets, contributing to the overall success of the division.Keys to Success:

Skills Required:
You will have previous experience working in an Accounts Payable functionGood spoken and written communication skills are required to collaborate with various partners, basic English required.Proficient user of Microsoft Excel, Word and OutlookPreferred experience in high volume, multi-entity, multi-currency processing functionAbility to multi-task and follow (frequently changing) prioritiesTeam person attitude, quick learner, flexibility and high adaptability to changePositive oriented solution mindset with a ‘can-do’ attitudeDemonstrate Thermo Fisher Scientific values – Integrity, Intensity, Innovation & Involvement to succeedEducation
High school diploma or equivalent requiredExperience
Experience in accounts payable or a similar finance role, demonstrating your ability to handle responsibilities with precision and accuracy.Knowledge of invoice processing and financial record-keeping, allowing you to navigate complex financial systems effectively.Experience with supplier account reconciliation and dispute resolution, enabling you to maintain strong relationships and resolve issues efficiently.Physical Requirements / Work Environment
This role requires prolonged periods of sitting and working with a computer. The work environment is fast-paced and collaborative, providing an opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams.
