As Financial Accounting Generalist at Aptiv, you will play a key role in our Pamplona Finance function, reporting directly to our Senior Finance Supervisor.

Please note, this in an onsite position.

Your Role:

Provides support in month/year end Accounting closings

Analyze monthly financial statements in US GAAP

Manage monthly Balance sheet and P&L submission to Corporate in HFM and FDM

Provides support to the controlling team on closing activities in accordance with Aptiv policies.

Coordinate financial month end closure activities with Corporate.

Manage relationships with Central Areas on vendor, customer, collections, banking, and tax matters

Point of contact for annual audits (E&Y) and internal audits, providing required documentation and responding to queries

Monthly accounts reconciliation (CARS).

Monitor and report Investments to Corporate and coordinate with local Engineering team on investment related matters.

Manage, track, and maintain the Leasing module for correct accounting

Prepare ad-hoc financial information as required by management

Responsible for the launch of the payroll process under the supervision and control of the HR area

Control of accounting report related to the payroll process and supervision of the process of Social Security charges and Tax payments

Your background:

2-3 years experience working within Finance related role

Bachelors/Masters or equivalent in Business, Economics, Law or similar

Understanding of US GAAP (preferred) or IFRS.

Strong technical skills with the ability to understand complex accounting issues and models.

Excellent attention to detail.

Ability to work as part of a dynamic leadership team to collaboratively solve complex problems innovatively.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) with the ability to interact well with people of various backgrounds and levels.

Fluent in Spanish and Business level English language skills.

Strong Excel skills.

Experience with SAP or similar would be an advantage.
