Final Inspector, Senior – Return to Service **This position will be on 2nd shift hours, Monday - Friday 2pm - 10pm** Position Summary/Essential Functions: Final Inspector with Return to Service authorization to inspect and determine airworthiness of articles in accordance with site, Federal Aviation Administration, European and other applicable regulatory agencies procedures. Responsibilities: Responsibilities may include some or all of the following: + Maintain accurate and up-to-date acceptance and rejection records and/or certifications systems as required by the applicable specifications. + Determine acceptance or rejection after inspection and/or calibration of parts. Identify defective conditions and test failures and prepare all appropriate documentation and/or calibration history. + Review and assess accuracy of maintenance records as objective evidence of work performed. INSPECTION: + Perform inspection on detailed machined parts using a wide variety of measuring and test equipment to determine acceptability or rejections of parts and/or parts finish. + Interpret specifications, charts and manuals. Use mathematics to convert blueprint dimensions and tolerances. + Work within the guidelines of drawings, schematics, blueprints, route sheets, travelers, quality directives, technical engineering specifications, customer's requirements and military standards and/or calibrations procedures. + Observe and perform audits of a moderate scope or complexity on assembly and test, machining and other functions for compliance to procedures. Qualifications: + HS diploma or equivalent. + 4 years’ experience in Inspection within Aerospace manufacturing + Repairman or A&P certificate required + Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints, manufacturer's specifications and internal drawings and procedures. + Ability to use and/or calibrate mechanical, hydraulic and electrical instruments/gages. + Possess working knowledge of machine shop mathematics. + Knowledge of applicable military standards may be required. + May be required to lift up to 50 lbs. + Must demonstrate effective verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills. + Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player. + Require CMM training to prepare 8130’s.
