**What you'll do:**
+ Set strategy and lead development of New Fastening Technologies across our North American Plants including, but not limited to, Wireless Technology, Toolsnet 8 and DC tools.
+ Lead the development of Global Manufacturing Fastening Standards through new Procedures, Global Manufacturing Standards (GMR), StandardCells, Gap Strategies with Product Development, Standard Costing for Future Model Programs, DC Tooling CAD Library in Teamcenter andUpdates to GVOSS.
+ Lead the Development of Online and Offline Repair Strategies involving Wireless Tooling Reporting to the Quality Operating System.
+ Lead the learning and development of new fastening technologies for all Engineering teams across North America.
+ Lead 3rd Party Quality Auditors in Performing Yearly Audits at North American Plants for adherence to TISS Reports, Torque Routes, Fastening Procedures, Preventive Maintenance Status in Tool Tracker, TCNs and Torque Related Alerts.
+ Drive Cost Studies ensuring Plants have Residual Torque Equipment, Torque Test Benches, TISS, TPPS and Tool Tracker.
+ Lead torque data analysis and investigations with cross-functional teams.
+ Lead development of new fastening catalog and drive alignment across the enterprise.
+ Lead development of new fastening lab within Manufacturing Engineering.
**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ BSc, Mechanical Engineering OR equivalent work experience.
+ 10+ years of direct experience within manufacturing
+ Experience with Fastening Standards Ability to manage multiple projects at once with great attention to detail
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Knowledge and experience with fastening equipment, assembly equipment, or joint design strategy
+ Experience with various Tooling Suppliers – Atlas Copco, Stanley, Ingersoll Rand, Estic, etc.
+ Experience with ToolsNet8
+ Experience with torque traces and data analytics
+ Experience working with cradle to grave tooling development
+ Experience implementing or auditing manufacturing requirements, standards, and procedures
+ Self-motivated, organized, hands-on, and collaborate individual
+ Willingness to work outside existing comfort zones
+ Ability to travel and interface with NA Manufacturing Plants
+ Strong problem-solving abilities
+ Strong interpersonal skills, presentation, and communication ability
+ Demonstrated initiative & capability to share technical expertise to their peers to assure the delivery of product programs
