Job Title: Field Technician
Job Description

This is a full-time position with 40-hour day shifts, requiring the individual to be on call as per a schedule. No weekend work is required.

ResponsibilitiesPerform preventive maintenance and repair service work on HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and various other building systems to maintain the properties in peak operational condition.Effortlessly perform routine building maintenance and repairs.Follow safety guidelines and best practices, ensuring all work is performed safely and complies with industry standards.Identify energy savings opportunities at facilities, including system and operational changes that can decrease the property's energy consumption.Work independently to plan work and execute assignments with minimal direct supervision.Assist other trades and contractors as needed in the general maintenance and operation of buildings and grounds.Interact with the client daily, building a good working relationship and representing the company in a professional manner.Essential Skills4 years of building operator or maintenance technician experience, preferably in a commercial, industrial, or retail environment.HVAC certification and experience with commercial properties.A clean and valid driver's license.Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and climb up to 30 ft ladders.Additional Skills & QualificationsParking space preferably not street parking for the company van as it remains with the operator overnight.BES Certification or SMA certification is considered an asset.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Work independently with the assignment of a company vehicle and tools, as well as a corporate cell phone to manage work orders and calls. The first few months will involve assisting at the client's main site, which includes multiple buildings in a campus style, before transitioning into a mobile role servicing Ottawa and the surrounding area.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr.
