Join Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Field System Specialist in North of Portugal, where you'll play a crucial role in ensuring our products deliver outstanding performance. Your Responsibilities:

Perform on-site installation, maintenance, and repair of company products and equipment, including PDX systems.Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues to resolve root cause and implement effective solutions.Provide front-line customer support, training, and service for PDX systems, including instruments, assays, and associated software.Deliver technical product training to end users on-site and remotely as the need arises.Maintain accurate records of service activities, including work orders, service reports, and parts inventory.Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all service activities.Develop in-depth knowledge and experience of Binding Site system software, hardware, and assay performance.Support and suggest Sales, Marketing, and Resolution Specialists to identify risks and handle complaints.Independently lead customer inquiries, complaints, and service interventions using the tools available and ensuring Key Performance Indicators are maintained.Use problem-solving and analytical skills to initiate and complete technical investigations for customer complaints and inquiries.Remote working including travel within Spain and Portugal, sometimes at short notice.

Your qualification:

Proven experience as a Field Service Specialist, Technician, or similar roleDegree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics.Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, and strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively.Willingness to work as an Application Specialist is helpful.
