Field Specialist 3 (Distribution)
Johnson Service Group (JSG) is a nationally recognized professional staffing and recruiting firm that is currently looking for a degreed individual with experience as a lineman or lineworker to fill a part time contract position as a Distribution Field Specialist. This position is for 2 to 5 days per week. 40 hours is NOT guaranteed. 

DESIRED EXPERIENCE
  Must have lineman/powerline experience Daylight hours, hours can verify from 7am-6pm and 10-40 hours weekly A Distribution Field Specialist with 10 to 15 years of experience is a seasoned professional responsible for overseeing and optimizing the operation and maintenance of distribution systems within utility companies. This role involves in-depth technical knowledge and leadership to ensure the reliability and efficiency of the distribution network.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  Field Operations: Lead field inspection activities, focusing on assessing the condition of distribution assets, identifying potential issues, and recommending necessary maintenance or upgrades. Maintenance Planning: Develop comprehensive maintenance plans and strategies to enhance the lifespan and reliability of distribution equipment, such as transformers, power lines, and substations. Issue Resolution: Act as the point person for resolving complex service interruptions and outages, employing advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. Safety Oversight: Ensure that field operations adhere to the highest safety standards and regulations. Implement safety programs and conduct regular safety audits. Asset Management: Oversee the management of distribution assets throughout their lifecycle, including asset replacement, relocation, or upgrades, and maintain accurate records. Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance to junior field specialists and collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams in solving complex technical issues. Data Analysis: Analyze field data to optimize asset performance, make data-driven decisions, and provide insights for long-term planning. Customer Relations: Handle escalated customer issues, address inquiries, and provide timely and accurate information about planned maintenance and service interruptions. Technology Utilization: Leverage advanced software and tools to record field data, track maintenance activities, and generate reports. Reporting and Documentation: Create detailed reports on field inspections, maintenance activities, and system performance. Maintain records and historical data. Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on industry regulations and standards, ensuring that the distribution network is fully compliant. Training and Development: Provide mentorship and training to junior field specialists and support their professional growth

QUALIFICATIONS
  Bachelor's degree in engineering, energy management, or a related field. Professional certifications, such as a PE license, are highly desirable. 10 to 15 years of experience in field operations, asset management, and distribution system maintenance within the utility or energy sector. Advanced knowledge of distribution systems, equipment, and industry best practices. Proficiency in advanced field inspection tools and software. Exceptional problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and technical expertise. Strong leadership and communication skills. Excellent safety record and a deep understanding of safety protocols and regulations. Ability to manage and lead teams effectively. This position may require some bending, lifting, climbing, prolonged sitting, prolonged walking, walking on gravel or crawling when necessary.
