**Position Summary:**
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Field Service Technician to support the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of industrial water treatment systems at customer sites. This role is hands-on and customer-facing, with a focus on mechanical, electrical, and diesel-powered systems. Technicians will serve as key representatives of Xylem in the field—ensuring systems are operating safely, efficiently, and reliably, while delivering outstanding service and maintaining a strong safety culture.

**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Conduct field service activities, including diagnostics, maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and diesel systems
+ Deliver and set up equipment/materials at customer sites as needed
+ Proactively identify and resolve safety issues involving company- and customer-owned equipment
+ Maintain accurate documentation of service activities, inspections, and customer interactions
+ Promote a culture of safety, performance, and continuous improvement
+ Ensure proper care, handling, and maintenance of company tools and equipment
+ Work independently or collaboratively as part of a project team, depending on scope
+ Communicate professionally with customers and internal stakeholders
+ Participate in planning and safety meetings and adhere to all company policies and procedures
+ Travel as needed, including overnight stays, based on business needs
**Qualifications & Experience:**
+ High school diploma or equivalent required
+ 2–5 years of relevant technical or field service experience, preferably in industrial or commercial water systems or similar environments
+ Prior experience with diesel engines, mechanical systems, or electrical troubleshooting strongly preferred
+ Experience working in field-based roles or remote environments
+ Strong technical aptitude in mechanical, electrical, or diesel systems (specific to business unit)
+ Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
+ Excellent customer service and communication skills
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office and smart devices
+ Demonstrated critical thinking and troubleshooting ability
+ Strong organizational and documentation skills
+ Commitment to safety, continuous improvement, and performance excellence
+ Ability to obtain TWIC, DISA, and other customer-specific clearances
+ Passport eligibility for cross-border work is a plus
+ Class A CDL preferred or willingness to obtain
**Travel Requirements:**
+ Up to 25% travel required, including overnight stays depending on project location
**Compensation:**
The estimated salary range for this position is $26 to $29 per hour. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience, and work location.
