This Position reports to:
Service Manager
As a Field Service Technician in the field of analytical technology, you will provide technical support for gas analyzers and systems supplied by ABB across various industrial sectors in Austria.
You provide high-quality, professional service both remotely and in person.
Your practical experience and understanding of customer needs help you build strong customer relationships. Additionally, you actively identify and develop new business opportunities.
Your Role: Own the Challenge
Technical Service & System Support: Execution of commissioning, system inspections, maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting at customer sites as well as via remote access. Responsible for hardware installation, software deployment, parameter configuration, comprehensive functional testing, and creation of technical documentation.
Customer and Project Communication: Coordination of technical and scheduling details with internal departments and direct communication with customers to prepare and execute service assignments.
Detection and evaluation of possible device failures, initiation of proactive measures, and effective collaboration with internal partners to ensure enduring issue resolution.
Quality and Process Improvement: Recognition and addressing of current and future customer requirements, continuous contribution of improvement proposals aimed at optimizing products, processes, and service quality.
What it takes to Run what runs the world
You have completed a technical education (apprenticeship or technical college), specializing in electrical engineering, automation technology, or a related field.
You have extensive experience as a service technician with prior experience in measurement technology or have at least 5 years of professional experience in the industrial sector.
You demonstrate a high willingness to travel domestically and occasionally abroad and hold a valid Class B driving license.
You are fluent in both spoken and written German and English.
Personally, you impress us with your notable service affinity as well as a high degree of initiative and self-management skills.

In accordance with the collective agreement for the electrical and electronics industry in Austria, the minimum salary for this position is € 3.400 gross per month as of May 2025. There is a clear willingness to offer compensation above the collectively agreed minimum salary, depending on qualifications and experience.
