Introduction

We are seeking a Field Service Supervisor – Mackay to join our Services team. You will be responsible for execution and supervision of the Field Service team at customer sites. You will focus on safety, customer service, and customer satisfaction.
In this position, you will report in to the Field Service Manager – East. This role will be based in Mackay and would suit a local resident. 

What you’ll do

•    Responsible for the supervision of hands-on, mechanical service work at customer sites
•    Supervise the installation and commissioning of systems, machinery and associated spare parts and wear material components
•    Provide technical field service site support
•    Promote products and services to customers
•    Promote the sales of OEM spare parts and wears material components
•    Support field service technicians and carry out hands on mechanical service work within the customer site or repair facilities if required
•    Support Technical Support Teams on complex issues
•    Ensure team delivers site reports, time sheets and travel expense reports after each job in a timely manner
•    Support quotation work by providing scope of work, initial planning and pricing information
•    Support warranty process and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) where applicable
•    Assist the Field Service Coordinator with allocation of work to team members
•    Promote a proactive safety culture and ensure team follows Metso & customer HSE requirements
•    Ensure team carries out work in accordance with Metso processes, instructions and training, with a specific focus on our brand requirements, certification principles, field service process and proper utilization of the FSM tool and digital inspection application

Who you are

•    5 years minimum experience in industrial equipment, technical support and service.
•    Relevant Trade certificate
•    At least 2 years of supervisory experience 
•    Experience in troubleshooting technical-field-related problems
•    Ability to effectively lead and supervise customer/user personnel under various working conditions and hours
•    Ability to interact, on a technical level with Field Sales, Training, Application & Technical Support groups as well as Parts, Support & Engineering groups
•    Ability to maintain a steady and level attitude under pressure 
•    Ability to read hydraulic schematics
•    Ability to solve problems and situations 
•    Must be able to pass random medical and drug tests and be able to pass a medical check / be physically fit
•    Ability to travel within short notice
•    Ability to work away from home, for extended periods and extended hours, on weekends or as required
