Role Name: Field service technician
Location: On site / Pedregal 24, Molino del Rey, CP 11000 Ciudad de México, CDMX, Mexico
Band \ Corporate Title: Contractor
Contract duration: 12 months
On-site technical resource to assist with infrastructure support for the implementation of a new office. Candidate will be responsible for on-site hands-on support of various infrastructure devices, structured cabling, as well as interacting with network carriers and third-party vendors, make a supervision of works of installation and create reports of progress.
Responsibilities:
+ Time management (project tasks and coordination with 3rd parties)
+ Risk Management (follow-up and escalation)
+ Provide on-site technical assistance and troubleshooting.
+ Perform equipment installations.
+ Test carrier circuits.
+ Asset management (Inventory, track history, evidence, implementation, unboxing and shipping)
+ Move equipment within space and cabinets.
+ Install ladder racking, pre-wire patch panels and equipment.
+ Assemble, install, and maintain cabling.
+ Verify cable integrity on installed media.
+ Install, replace, or remove equipment (router, switch card, etc.).
+ Extend patch cables from the patch panel to the equipment.
+ Physically presence at main site’s located in CDMX, Lomas - Virreyes
+ Included activities after business hours.
Required Job Skills:
+ +3 years of experience in infrastructure support
+ Able to work with project stakeholders, such as project personnel, vendors, and carriers.
+ Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
+ Good understanding of networking communication principles, standards, and security practices.
+ Good understanding of datacenter/server-room environment and policies
+ Ability to work independently under little supervision with demanding goals.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
+ Ability to adjust to changing project factors, conditions, and environment.
+ Previous experience in Server operating systems
+ Operating System Administration (Linux Redhat / Windows Server)
+ Basic knowledge on Networking
+ Security and compliance (OS Hardening)
+ Monitoring and Logging
+ Troubleshooting and problem-solving
+ Communication and collaboration
Desired Job Skills:
+ Previous experience working within a large Financial Services environment or Banking sector.
+ Manage multiple assignments but capable to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment while staying focused on important deadlines.
+ Previous experience in Server operating systems
+ Backup and Restore (Netbackup or similar)
+ Virtualization on Vmware
