Role Summary:
The field service technician installs, commissions, monitors, troubleshoots, and repairs mechanical seals and other equipment in industries such as oil and gas, chemical, nuclear, coal, and wastewater, depending on client engagement.
In this challenging role, the Field Service Technician (FST) provides real-time technical support to our customers, offering recommendations for equipment repairs, upgrades, and replacements. The FST actively engages in troubleshooting and implementing on-site solutions at customer facilities.

Responsibilities:
- Make direct and on-site service calls in response to customer requests.
- Assess mechanical problems and take prompt corrective measures.
- Work alongside customer personnel and lead work teams as necessary.
- Supervise the complete repair cycle: disassembly, cleaning, inspection, repair, and assembly.
- Ensure successful and timely equipment installation.
- Verify equipment prior to departure and evaluate startup performance.
- Monitor the maintenance and performance of Flowserve equipment.
- Inform customers about proper operation and maintenance procedures for Flowserve products.
- Collaborate effectively with Flowserve support organizations, including repair centers, customer service, and sales engineering.
- Maintain and send organized and accurate records, including daily reports, quoted jobs, completed tasks, and billed time/materials.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
- Mechanical Technician or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or degree in a relevant field with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience- Experience in the refinery and rotating equipment industry.
- Knowledge of industrial applications and the operation of pumps, valves, seals, actuators, and mechanical equipment.
- Experience in the installation of mechanical equipment.
- Experience in repairing pumping equipment, installing mechanical seals, and changing seal faces, gaskets, and O-rings.
- Proficiency in repairing pump equipment, installing mechanical seals, and replacing seal faces/rings.
- Proven ability to correctly read and interpret engineering designs and schematics.
- Must be capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Able to work in Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Willingness to travel.
- Willingness to work overtime when necessary to minimize impact on customers.
- Physical activity is required, including frequent lifting of up to 25 kg, climbing up and down stairs and ladders, and climbing and reaching under and around large equipment, often outdoors throughout the year.

Preferred skills:
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, Solid Works, or any technical drawing tool is a plus.
