Field Service Technician

Job Summary

The Field Service Technician will leverage technical expertise to ensure Salford products meet customer needs and specifications and provide in-depth product knowledge. The role will involve troubleshooting complex issues, educating clients on product features, and driving product improvements based on customer feedback.

The Field Service Technician will be based in the vicinity of and will be focused on the servicing the following areas: Mississippi, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Tennessee with occasional travel to Texas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico to visit with dealer sales, service and parts departments on a scheduled basis.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues via email, phone, and on-site/in person visits Develop a deep understanding of tool features, specifications, applications, and serve as the subject matter expert for internal teams and customers Collaborate with the sales team, conduct machine demonstrations and presentations to potential customers. Document all service issues and solutions including updating FAQs and troubleshooting guides Assist with Warranty case review and resolution - negotiate with dealers to reach warranty solutions when required Visit with dealer sales, service and parts departments on a scheduled basis Train internal teams and customers on product features, maintenance, operation, and best practices. Gather and analyze customer feedback to inform product development and improvements. Work closely with engineering and product management to relay customer needs, as well as keeping up with the latest product changes Attend Trade Shows

Academic/Educational Requirements

Vocational certification, degree or diploma is preferred

Required Skills/Experience

2-3 years of experience in a Product Support Specialist or related role/experience is required Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills Experience in the agricultural equipment field is considered an asset Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Excellent time management and organizational skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Ability to travel including out of country travel with a valid passport Customer service and relationship building skills Self-driven to succeed with a high work ethic Good presentation and training skills

Working Conditions

Standard working hours is 40 hours per week Remote working from home, from Mondays to Friday May be required to work outside of standard hours Home and off-site settings Approximately 50-75% of time spent travelling within North America Vehicle will be provided to visit dealers and end users
