As a Field Service Engineer for Agilent, you will work at a variety of labs, so having an appetite for continuously learning about new instruments, software, and consumables is key. You will support our customers with on-site installation, implementation, maintenance, and repair of company and multi-vendor systems solutions. Our varied product lines include hardware, software, and networking products as well as operating systems.

Territory Details:
The ideal candidate will reside within 60 miles of Albuquerque, New Mexico OR Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Territory travel will include coverage across the Lone Star District: TX, OK, NM, and LA.
Able to travel up to 30-35% of the time.
Responsibilities will include:
Installs and optimizes hardware/software/network products and configurations at customer sites for Chromatography Systems.
Diagnoses and resolves product performance problems.
Performs maintenance and repairs.
Ensures customer satisfaction by advising customers on preventive maintenance and configurations, which may impact product performance.
Proactively responds to potential equipment issues to prevent unplanned interruption of customers' business.
Deliver fully integrated solutions, which may include peripherals, communications, operating systems, and application software.
May train other field engineers and customers on the solutions.
QualificationsA bachelor's or master's degree in a science field (e.g., chemistry, analytical chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology, or similar), or relevant work experience.
1-2+ years of experience in a similar position or as an end-user.
Experience with troubleshooting and problem-solving.
Experience with Liquid Chromatography (LC) or Gas Chromatography (GC) and (GC-MS) systems, either as an end-user or in field service, is required.
Experience with Agilent solutions is desired but not essential.
Clear, respectful, and timely verbal and written communication skills.
This position requires transportation to support customers. Applicants must have their means of transportation for mileage reimbursement if a company vehicle is not provided.
Must enjoy visiting customers, and that may have occasional overnight stays if needed
Travel requirement: Must be available for up to 30-35% which includes overnight travel, and may not be limited to travel within the territory to support clients.
