Field Service Representative - Maintenance Focused

Job Description

As a Field Service Representative, you’ll be on the front lines providing operations and maintenance expertise on water treatment systems for one of our customers from one of a variety of industries. This mission critical role involves working on a variety of technologies including, media filtration, softening, reverse osmosis (RO), ion exchange (IX), de-oxygenation, electro deionization, and ultrafiltration (UF).  To be successful in this profession, you’ll need to have excellent mechanical, process and electrical know how and problem-solving skills. Conduct maintenance and Install/Replace and/or supervise the replacement of proposed equipment.

Verify installation is as per drawings. 

Consult with customer management and operation teams

Excellent mechanical know how and problem-solving skills

Operate, monitor, and optimize equipment performance

Meet with internal and external contributors to communicate schedules and address issues as necessary.

Duties & Responsibilities 

Carry out mechanical, electrical and controls troubleshooting on equipment such as valves, air compressors, ejectors, process pumps, blowers, and instrumentation

Create and maintain site paperwork, and provide customers with detailed technical summaries of work performed

Maintain site data, and update data logs daily

Maintain inventory of spare parts and adequate supply of chemicals and replacement parts

Monitor and maintain chemical injection systems

Perform analytical testing such as: turbidity, hardness, chlorine, pH, CO2, O2, SDI, TOC, in addition to various other site-specific testing requirements

Review customer plant installations and compare against WTS reference drawings (P&IDs, electrical schematics, general arrangement, etc.)

Install/Replace and/or supervise the replacement of proposed equipment.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (List out required and preferred skills as applicable)

Demonstrated ability to work independently and remotely 

Provide customers with informal training around operation and maintenance of their system

Qualifications

Education & Experience

Required:

High School Diploma / GED / Home School Certification OR international equivalent 2+ years’ experience of service/maintenance or equivalent in an industrial environment

Valid Driver’s License

Ability to gain and maintain access to sites as assigned

Ability to gain and maintain TWIC card 

Additional Information

Ability to travel extensively as needed

Ability to travel extensively- primarily in the posting Geographic area

Ability to report to site for after hours callouts to address emergency situations

Ability to cover 12 hour shifts as needed
