Join our team and start your journey today! **Job Title: Manager, Field Services – East/West** **Description** We are seeking an experienced leader to take on the role of Manager, Field Services – East/West within our Cold Chain Services organization. This critical position leads a team of Field Service Specialists responsible for onsite startup, commissioning, and troubleshooting of Copeland controls systems across the country. Success in this role requires deep, hands-on field experience with Copeland controls and a strong understanding of onsite activities—what it takes to get the job done safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. You will coordinate daily schedules, confirm project readiness, support technicians in real-time, and ensure consistent, high-quality delivery of our onsite services. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who has spent significant time in the field and is now ready to lead and coach a team, apply their knowledge more broadly, and ensure success across multiple complex projects. This position may be based remotely within the Eastern or Western U.S. and includes occasional travel to project sites and the Kennesaw, GA office. **As the Manager, Field Services – East/West, you will:** + Lead a team of Field Service Specialists performing onsite work specific to Copeland controls, including wiring validation, equipment startup, troubleshooting, and commissioning. + Leverage your extensive field experience to guide technicians, validate readiness, and anticipate and resolve challenges before they escalate. + Own field resource scheduling, aligning team availability with project timelines, travel needs, and site requirements. + Confirm project and site readiness with the Project Execution and Engineering teams, including drawings, programming, hardware, and installation scope. + Ensure timely and complete submission of all technician deliverables, including time tracking and exit reports. + Serve as the primary escalation point for your team while they are onsite, helping them navigate issues, scope questions, and customer interactions. + Monitor workload, travel demands, and field team utilization across regions, adjusting resources as needed. + Coach and develop field specialists by sharing best practices, providing technical direction, and supporting their long-term growth. **Required education, experience & skills:** + Significant hands-on experience in the field with Copeland controls performing startup, commissioning, or troubleshooting work in real-world customer environments. + At least 10 years of experience in field service, controls, or commissioning, with demonstrated leadership in a site-based or regional role. + Technical education in refrigeration, HVAC systems, controls technology, or a comparable trade discipline. + Deep understanding of onsite project execution, including controls integration, refrigeration systems, mechanical interfaces, and site readiness needs. + Proven ability to manage technician schedules, site communications, and field performance standards. + Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, especially in documentation, time tracking, and project reporting. + Excellent communication skills with the ability to support and guide field teams while also working cross-functionally with internal stakeholders. **Preferred education, experience & skills:** + Prior experience as a lead technician or field service supervisor with Copeland controls. + Familiarity with project scheduling tools and project systems such as Quickbase and Fast Fields. + Knowledge of site safety practices and coordination with general contractors or subcontractors. + Ability to work across multiple time zones and support a geographically distributed team. **Our Commitment to Our People** Across the globe, we are united by a singular Purpose: Sustainability is no small ambition.
