Field Service Engineer- Wind Turbine REMOTE

To succeed as a Field Service Engineer, you’ll need to be open to travel to customer installation sites (industrial or renewable), work independently, have great communication skills and be well organized. We are looking for a motivated individual with a strong customer service background. The Field Service Engineer will provide hands on service and aftermarket support for our customers in North America (worldwide, if needed). He or she will also support our claims and quality department in North America (worldwide, if needed). The candidate for this position will work closely with our management team based in Denver, CO.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform service in Windturbine (physical hard work at height)Provide field service for customers in region (worldwide if needed)Provide aftermarket support for customers (worldwide if needed)Support our claim/quality department (worldwide if needed)Write detailed reports from each service/claim jobExcellent communication skills (verbal and written) in EnglishBilingual (Spanish and English) is preferred but not a requirementTechnical understanding and background requiredProficient with Microsoft Office products (as minimum Excel, Word and Power Point)Customer Service skills (e.g. ability to communicate with customers promptly and courteously; to achieve customer satisfaction)Ability to work in a team environment and share information among peersAbility to handle deadlines and stressful situationsDetail oriented  Valid driver’s license and clean driving recordPassport needed, or ability to obtain a PassportAbility to travel both domestically and internationallySafety mind and behavior as a part of the DNAFit for physical work

Help coordinate service and claim jobs with Service CoordinatorHelp capturing new service jobs while in the officeUpsell spare parts while on service jobsCarry out training programs for customers when neededHelp with warehouse when neededHelp with receiving goods in stock when neededHelp with shipping goods from stock when neededInteract within the community of the local office and region and represent company in a positive, professional manner at all timesAd hoc assignments that normally occurs in a small office

Critical Competencies:

Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

Ability to listen to customers wants, needs and expectations

Stay on site during service visits until client releases us

Bilingual (Spanish and English) is preferred, but not required

Technical understanding and background required

Proficient with Microsoft Office products (as minimum Excel, Word and Power Point)

Customer Service skills (e.g. ability to communicate with customers promptly and courteously; to achieve customer satisfaction)

Ability to work in a team environment and share information among peers

Ability to handle deadlines and stressful situations

Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering required. Combination of education and experience to be considered in lieu of a degree 

Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in an electrical, hydraulic or mechanical environment preferred

Compensation: $70,000-$75,000 plus overtime
