As a Field Service Engineer - Growth, you will be more than a technical expert - you'll be a trusted partner to our customers. Based in Moscow and supporting the Robotics, Sports Medicine and Wound Management portfolios, you will deliver installations, repairs, and maintenance across Russia, ensuring compliance with regulations and company standards.
What will you be doing?
- Service Delivery: Perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of Smith+Nephew equipment, ensuring high-quality service across assigned regions in Russia.
- Customer Support: Act as the primary technical contact for customers, providing timely and effective support both remotely and on-site.
- Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all activities comply with regulatory, safety, and quality standards. Complete service reports, documentation, and CRM updates accurately and on time.
- Training & Education: Provide technical guidance and operational training to customers and partners to ensure proper equipment usage and maximize uptime.
- Business Growth: Identify and escalate service opportunities that support upselling, contract conversion, or expansion of the installed base.
-Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Customer Care, and other internal teams to resolve issues and drive a seamless customer experience.
-Asset Management: Ensure proper use, maintenance, and inventory tracking of tools, parts, loaner units, and service equipment.
- Continuous Improvement: Proactively contribute ideas to improve service processes, reduce turnaround time, and enhance customer satisfaction.
What will you need to be successful?
- Higher technical education, preferably in Biomedical Engineering or a closely related technical discipline.
- 3 years of hands-on experience in field service, with practical skills in installation, maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of medical equipment.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.
- Skilled in using measuring instruments and soldering equipment.
- Good understanding of PC architecture and ability to troubleshoot basic IT issues and connect peripherals.
- Intermediate proficiency in English, especially for reading technical manuals and communicating effectively with global teams.
- Fluency in Russian
-Competent in Microsoft Office suite, with experience using CRM, ERP, or other technical service platforms. Ability to efficiently search for technical information online.
- Strong problem-solving ability and analytical thinking.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build long-term relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and operate effectively within a matrix organizational structure.
- Ability to prepare clear, concise presentations and reports for management meetings and business reviews, effectively communicating technical issues and service performance
- Valid driving license (category B), with willingness and ability to travel frequently up to 50% within the assigned territory and occasionally outside Russia for training or official duties.
