Field Service Engineer

Agiliti Health, Inc. has an opening for a Field Service Engineer position based out of its office in Richmond, Virginia. Responsible for maintaining high-end medical imaging equipment and electrical components of Agiliti customers, including systems, applications, quality assurance, calibration, operating system support, applications support, technical support regarding electronics equipment, and troubleshooting. Inspect electronic equipment, instruments, products, or systems to ensure conformance to specifications, safety standards, or applicable codes or regulations including Health & Human Services, Environment Health & Safety, and other applicable regulatory requirements. Provide technical support or instruction to staff or customers regarding electronics equipment standards including via telephone, online or in person as relevant. Maintain system performance through monitoring, analysis, performing tuning, troubleshooting hardware and electronical components, designing and running system load/stress testing, escalating application problems to OEM, and performing quality check for imaging system per relevant ISO standards. Confer with engineers, customers, vendors, radiologists, technicians, physicians, and/or other medical professionals to keep abreast of new/existing imaging solutions, issues, and trends. Operate computer-assisted engineering or design software or equipment, provide continuous up-time support for applications software issues, and use Digital Imaging & Communications in Medicine (DICOM) to perform electronics engineering tasks. Determine project material or equipment needs. Position is based out of Agiliti office in Richmond although the position may work at unidentified customer sites in the broader Virginia-Maryland area within a commuting distance. Individual must therefore reside in the Virginia-Maryland area and be willing to travel to unidentified customer sites within the area on a daily basis. May occasionally travel to unanticipated Agiliti offices and/or customer sites elsewhere in the U.S. a few times (about 1-3 times) per year.

Requires:

​Bachelor’s degree or equivalent foreign degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or closely related engineering field, plus three years of experience with 1) high-end medical imaging equipment maintenance and repair; 2) operating computer-assisted engineering or design software; 3) recommending repair or design modifications of electrical components or systems; 4) applying ISO standards; and 5) delivering technical support for medical imaging applications and electrical components.

Salary/Hours:

At least $86,112/year; 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
