This Position reports to:
Field Service Manager
Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to execute onsite service activities – commissioning, diagnostics, upgrades and protection relays testing – work with medium to high complexity as per work instructions and in accordance with ABB standard processes, quality standards and safety guidelines. Each day, you will plan and execute work on a first-time right approach with customers. You will also showcase your expertise by displaying a clear understanding of sense of urgency and care in your own area of responsibility.
The work model for the role is: onsite
This role is contributing to the Electrification Service business in Sant Quirze del Valles, Barcelona, Spain. Main stakeholders are utilities and facilities.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Providing remote and on-site technical support for customers
Having a strong relationship with customers, understanding their needs and providing specialist support and solutions
Strong focusing on Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) practices on working are a must to eliminate unsafe practices and incidents
Completing test reports, recommendations, timesheets and travel expenses
This job requires 50% of the time availability to travel throughout Spain and eventually international destinations

Qualifications for the role
5 years of experience in industry working as a technician or engineer in Low & Medium Voltage electrical distribution and control panels
Electrical or Electronical Engineer or Higher Degree
Experience in protection relays and transformers testing and use of OMICRON tools are completely necessary
Knowledge of Windows, MSOffice and communication protocol IEC 61850
Knowledge in selectivity studies, ETAP and Typhoon Hil simulations solutions are highly valued.
Team player, cooperative, interested in further development. Confident personality and strong communication skills
Spanish and English language is a must, strongly preferred both
Current B (car) drivers license valid in Spain and Europe and Spanish residency permission
