Job Description
Field Service Engineer (FSE)
As a Field Service Engineer at Rockwell Automation, you will be the frontline representative of our company, playing a critical role in delivering exceptional service and technical expertise to our customers. You will be responsible for supporting, commissioning, maintaining, and optimizing industrial automation systems, ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term relationships.
You will also collaborate in projects with the local engineering team and report to the engineering team leader in our Root office.
Your Responsibilities:Be the primary contact for customers, providing prompt and professional technical support.
Perform on-site installation, commissioning, and startup of Rockwell Automation equipment and systems and 3rd party products.
Resolve hardware, software, and system issues to minimize downtime and ensure performance.
Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on automation systems and equipment.
Collaborate with customers to identify opportunities for system upgrades, migrations, and process improvements to increase plant productivity.
Provide training and guidance to customers on the operation and maintenance of Rockwell Automation products.
Document service activities, prepare detailed reports, and communicate recommendations.
Support sales and project teams by identifying potential service opportunities and contributing to solution development.
The Essentials - You Will Have:Degree in automation technology, information technology, electrical engineering or similar.
The willingness to travel minimum 50% of the time.
A valid drivers license.
3+ years of experience with programming and commissioning of industrial automation solution.
Experience with Rockwell Automation software and our products.
Fluent in French and English
Analytical way of thinking and an independent way of working.
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:Experience/Affinity with IT networks and server applications.
Microsoft or Cisco (CCNA) certificates are an advantage.
Affinity for IT technologies and IT networks.
Language skills in German or Italian, any other language.
