Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Junior Field Service Engineer to support the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of advanced laboratory and diagnostic equipment. This role is ideal for candidates with 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience who are eager to grow within a customer-focused and quality-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, calibrate, maintain, and repair medical and laboratory instrumentation at customer sites
Perform preventative maintenance and respond to service calls in a timely and professional manner
Troubleshoot technical issues, both hardware and software-related, and escalate as needed
Accurately document all service activities and ensure compliance with industry and company standards
Provide training and support to users on proper equipment operation
Collaborate with senior field engineers and technical support teams
Maintain service tools, test equipment, and spare parts inventory
Follow safety protocols and quality assurance procedures at all times
Qualifications:
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline
1 to 3 years of experience in field service, equipment maintenance, or technical support (preferably within healthcare, diagnostics, or laboratory environments)
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the region
Self-motivated and able to work independently under minimal supervision
Experience with diagnostic or laboratory instrumentation is a strong plus
Preferred Skills:
Bilingual (Spanish and English)
Familiarity with GMP, ISO, or other regulated environments
Proficiency with field service software and documentation tools
