Field Service Coordinator, West & North Africa

As a part of our Strategy towards strengthening our Teams and further developing the Business, we are looking for a Field Service (FS) Coordinator. In this position you will become part of Wärtsilä West Africa Operational Organization and shall be based in Dakar, Senegal. You shall drive Wärtsilä Purpose and demonstrate Wärtsilä values, develop within an organization with high passion and drive.

 

As FS Coordinator you will be the focal point with customers and internal stakeholders in the delivery of Field Service (FS) activities in West and North Africa. You will be part of a team managing the daily activities and schedules of around 40 engineers. In this position you will be reporting to the FS Manager.

Your main responsibilities will be: 

Receive and process field service enquiries; Identify service requirements, schedules and locations.  Plan activities, resources, spare parts, costs and time schedules for work orders.  Manage diaries and coordinate field service personnel; matching available skills to jobs.  Liaise with customers to coordinate requirements and formalize service bookings. Coordinate personnel when they are assigned on a work order.  Act as "point of contact" for the customer during the work order.  Raise internal and external orders for service provisions.  Collect costs, support the Administrative Centre for invoices and approve time sheets for service personnel.  Ensure customer satisfaction, obtain feedback and maintain service record files. Build high performing teams based on trust. Have high integrity, listen with good intention, appreciate feedback and support people to grow. Create clarity on direction and inspire people to take action towards the agreed objectives.  Enjoy creating clear business value with a goal-oriented mind-set. Drive results with excellent planning and remove obstacles for success of the teams under your responsibility. Ensure that the work is executed according to QSHE guidelines and site procedures and policies.  Follow-up and report on the status of work orders to customer and/or internal stakeholders.

 

Main requirements in this role are:

Qualification & Experience : BSc Electrical / Mechanical engineering with atleast 5-7 years or MSc Electrical / Mechanical engineering with atleast 2 years of administrative experience in any service industry.

 

Skills et requirements:

A safety first mind-set.  Passion about developing resources and excellent Customer Service.   Professional Project Management skills.  Experience in a customer facing role with responsibility for collection of costs and invoices. Excellent organizational skills and Customer Centricity.  Demonstrable team working skills and the ability to adjust and re-plan in dynamic situations.  Excellent communication skills and well-developed cultural awareness and sensitivity.  Proficiency with standard MS tools and experience with SAP would be an advantage. PMP Certification would be an advantage. Fluent in English with relevant additional language skills beneficial. Willingness and able to travel.
