Field Operator II - Wireline

Weatherford is currently seeking a Field Operator II – Wireline to join our team of dedicated professionals. This role is centred on Wireline operations, involving hands-on work with Weatherford’s advanced tools and equipment in the field. The ideal candidate will have practical experience in cased hole/Open hole Wireline services, and a strong commitment to safety, service quality, and operational efficiency. You will play a key role in delivering high-performance Wireline solutions to our clients.
+ Perform rig-up and rig-down of Wireline equipment at client well sites
+ Conduct basic maintenance, inspection, and operation of mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic tools
+ Safely transport equipment to and from job sites using company vehicles
+ Execute operations in compliance with Weatherford’s HSE and quality standards
+ Participate in JHAs, toolbox talks, and pre-job planning activities
+ Support troubleshooting and issue resolution during field activities
+ Maintain a clean, safe work environment and accurate job documentation
**Skills:**
+ Basic understanding of Wireline tools and surface equipment
+ Familiarity with pressure control and wellsite operations
+ Ability to operate hand and power tools safely and effectively
+ Basic troubleshooting of hydraulic and electronic systems
+ Quality control and equipment inspection procedures
+ Strong awareness of HSE protocols and safe work practices
+ Effective communication and teamwork in field conditions
+ Time management and task prioritization under pressure
+ Reading and interpreting technical drawings and job tickets
+ Willingness to learn and take direction in a dynamic field environment
**Qualifications**
**Required:**
+ 1–5 years of hands-on experience in Wireline operations.
+ Experience in Fishing, Tubular Running Services (TRS) is acceptable but not the primary focus
+ High School Diploma or equivalent
+ Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
+ Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
+ Ability to read technical manuals and follow work instructions
+ Good physical condition; able to meet the demands of field work
**Preferred:**
+ Technical diploma or vocational training preferred (e.g., mechanical, electrical, or petroleum-related fields)
