Union Tank Car Company (UTLX) Provides leasing, manufacturing, and repair services to our customers and owns/manages one of the largest fleets of railroad tank cars in North America. Position Overview:
As an Industrial Cleaning Supervisor, you will hold a pivotal role in our operations, overseeing and coordinating the efficient and safe use of industrial cleaning systems. Your responsibilities encompass managing a team of personnel, ensuring that equipment such as pumps, diesel engines, thermal fluid heaters, knuckle boom cranes (under 8 tons), and heavy machinery are operated and maintained to the highest standards. Safety is paramount in your role, and you will be responsible for ensuring that our cleaning procedures are rigorously adhered to. The successful candidate will be driven, results-oriented, and value our safety standards to ensure the success of our industrial cleaning operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Traveling 75% (Project Based) requiredEnsure Health and Safety is the top priority by following policies and procedures and always acting in a safe manner.Oversee the preparation and execution of cleaning activities at customer facilities.Complete all required paperwork, including job reports/tickets, LEMs, billing, safety forms, drivers log, KPIs, Journey Management, and other related items.Act as a liaison between Operations and Client, communicating with and reporting to Operations to ensure contractual obligations are met.Assist with training and mentorship of field employees.Key Qualifications:
CDL Class A driver's license (Highly Preferred)Previous industrial cleaning and process equipment operation experience required.Strong knowledge of high-pressure pumps, injection tools, filtration equipment, and lifting devices.3-5 years of industry and supervisory experience.Previous automation cleaning is considered preferred.Strong leadership skills.Strong communication skills; must be fluent in speaking/writing English.Proficient computer skills.Ability to work with minimal supervision in a team and safety-focused environment.Must be physically fit and able to safely lift up to 50 lbs.Tank Car Repair and Inspection Experience is highly preferred.Fall Protection Training / CertificationStandard First AidConfined Space Entry and RescuePhysical Requirements
