Eurofins Environment Testing Australia is an Environmental testing network of fully accredited laboratories. With a staff of over 300 our laboratories are located in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane and with Client Service Offices located in Adelaide, Darwin, Newcastle and Wollongong. We also operate field sampling services out of Melbourne and Sydney. We specialise in all areas of Environmental analysis, including Contaminated Soil, Sludge, Sediments, Leachate, Soil Vapour, Trade Waste Effluents, Sewage Effluents, Stack Emissions, Work Place Air, Ambient Air, Dust, Drinking Water, Surface Water run off, River & Stream Monitoring, Seawater, and Groundwater.
Job DescriptionThe main responsibility of the Field Officer is to perform groundwater, surface water, and leachate field sampling across a variety of sites, ensuring accurate and timely environmental monitoring services for Eurofins clients. This is a full-time role and may involve travel to multiple client locations within Victoria.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Conducting groundwater, surface water, and leachate sampling using established methods.Calibrating, maintaining, and using field equipment and instrumentation.Liaising with on-site clients and internal Eurofins teams to coordinate fieldwork and meet sampling requirements.Completing accurate and timely field reports and documentation.Adhering to Eurofins’ quality and safety systems during all fieldwork activities.Supporting training and supervision of junior staff when required.Performing housekeeping tasks related to field equipment and vehicles.Ensuring field data is collected, stored, and submitted in accordance with Eurofins procedures.QualificationsDiploma or Degree in Science, Environmental Science, or a related field is preferred, but not essential. Relevant experience in field sampling or environmental monitoring will be highly regarded.
