Position: Field Inventory Technician - Abilene TX (Fri-Sun)

Location: Abilene, TX (This position will be working on-site out of the new data center in Abilene)

Schedule: This is 24/7 facility, and we will be hiring for 2 different shift times in this role, all working Friday through Sunday for 12 hours per day with a 1-hour lunch break:

6am-7pm (Day shift) 6pm-7am (Overnight shift)

What You’ll Do:

As a Field Inventory Technician, you’ll be a key part of our customer’s daily operations on-site at their new data center facility. You’ll gain experience in modern inventory control processes while supporting the smooth movement of critical products across the customer site.

Your responsibilities may include:

Interface with customers to evaluate needs or concerns and communicate to the local warehouse team and/or Outside Sales Representatives (OSR). Maintain on-site daily product reporting and analysis to ensure supply chain controls. Provide daily support of sales efforts and account maintenance functions. Ensure actual inventory count and communicate with warehouse personnel. Assist with on-site product location and identification. Communicate changes, shortages, and concerns directly to customers and warehouse management. Ensure data in WMS is accurate and up to date. Answer questions from customers on Inventory utilization. Perform daily scanning and sync tasks. Review, control, and release customer orders, report daily customer status, and maintain barcoding and scanning practices for proper product identification and alignment with inventory systems.

What We’re Looking For:

High school diploma or equivalent required Associate’s degree preferred Ability to meet emerging customer needs. Including strong customer service background. Ability to walk long distances repeatedly throughout the day.  Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to multi-task. Attention to detail. Ability to use win-win approach to resolve controversy, stay objective and fair when dealing with sensitive situations, and maintain constructive working relationships. Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods
