What You Can Expect
The Field Inventory Specialist will play a key role in supporting field inventory audits, ensuring timely and accurate inventory transactions, and collaborating with internal teams to streamline operations. Through a combination of systematic tools, data analytics, and direct interactions with sales personnel, this role will drive efficient inventory control while supporting the overall success of the field inventory management process.
How You'll Create Impact Field Audit Support: Complete inventory transactions to support field audit packets within one week of field audits, ensuring data accuracy and audit completeness.Reporting & Analytics: Compile and analyze monthly/quarterly metrics and key performance reports to provide operational insights to management.Physical Audits: Conduct bi-annual physical audits of field inventory within local assigned territories and annual physical audits for kitted inventory, ensuring all inventory is properly accounted for.Systematic Inventory Transactions: Assist with systematic updates to field inventory, ensuring accurate tracking and documentation of audits, inspections, and changes to inventory levels.Product Management: Support the conversion and replacement of obsolete products and the retrieval of underutilized inventory to maintain optimal stock levels.Biologics Management: Monitor the expiration of biologic products, initiating returns or replacements for out-of-date items to ensure compliance.Sales Operations Liaison: Act as a key point of contact between Sales Operations, sales teams, and hospital personnel, ensuring smooth operations and support in the field.Late Loaner & Missing Kit Management: Collaborate with Sales Support and Field Operations to track down missing kits or late loaners, facilitating timely resolution.Policy Enforcement: Ensure adherence to inventory control policies to maintain accuracy and efficiency in field inventory operations.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Sales Support, Distribution, Billing, Accounting, and Asset Management teams to meet field inventory and operational goals.Audit Reporting & Corrective Actions: Partner with Field Inventory Management and Asset Management Specialists to communicate audit results and implement corrective actions as needed.Reconciliation Support: Assist with the reconciliation of agency terminations, territory realignments, and other adjustments to ensure seamless inventory transitions.Other Duties: Support additional field inventory-related tasks and special projects as assigned.Your Background Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; 1+ year of experience in general office or field inventory management.Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Office tools and experience with data visualization tools such as charts, graphs, and dashboards.Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with both internal teams and external customers.Problem-Solving: Ability to identify issues, gather relevant data, analyze information, and propose effective solutions.ERP Experience: Experience with SAP or another ERP system is preferred.Travel Expectations20% travel for audits. Access to medical facilities and compliance with associated medical requirements may be necessary.
Compensation DataHourly Range: $23.08-$30.77 USD with eligibilty to participate in bonus program defined by established metrics
