Field Inspector/Damage Assessor - Disaster Management - On Call - Hybrid (US)
Description **ICF ‘s Disaster Management Division** is currently seeking **Field Inspectors/Damage Assessors - Immediate On Call, experienced in FEMA’s Public Assistance (PA) Program in Puerto Rico (must be a current resident).** This role will require travel, onsite work and remote work from home. As a Field Inspector/Damage Assessor you will be responsible for: Traveling to assigned cases to identify and describe damages through photographs and completing required forms; identifying possible mitigation measures and collect documentation; coordinating with FEMA field personnel; and providing additional information upon request. **About On-Call Employment with ICF** Given the seasonal or project-specific nature of our disaster & emergency management work, ICF often hires professionals as “On-Call” employees. On-Call employees are scheduled for work hours as they become available (while we usually schedule work hours a few weeks ahead of time, last-minute scheduling may also occur), and each on-call employee is free to accept or refuse the hours assigned to them in a given week. On-Call employees may work concurrent projects outside of their ICF assignment (as long as their outside work does not create a conflict of interest with the work they do for ICF). **Compensation:** Although the range below is wider to accommodate growth within the job, this position will offer a pay range of $33 per hour, based upon the match to job description, preferred skills, location, etc., as determined by the hiring team. **Definition:** FEMA Public Assistance (PA) is a program provided by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) that provides financial and direct assistance to states, tribes, and territories when authorized as part of a presidential declaration under the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act. The program provides supplemental grants to state, tribal, territorial and local governments, and certain types of private non-profits so communities can quickly respond to and recover from major disasters or emergencies. PA can fund the repair, restoration, reconstruction or replacement of eligible public or certain nonprofit facilities or infrastructure damaged or destroyed by a disaster. This is not health or social services. **_Join our incredible group of experts today!_** Key Responsibilities: • Document damage and input into database. • Coordinate and participate in site visits. • Follow procedures and maintain communication and focus. • Maintain and track caseload and track in management information system. • Keep Project Lead informed on issues, problems & resolutions. • Superior customer service skill set, ability to listen, facilitate and negotiate problems. **_Please provide an updated resume aligned to the qualifications, skills and experience required._** **Must Have Requirements:** • 2+ years’ experience as a field inspector in FEMA Public Assistance (possibly roads/bridges/culverts, schools, municipality owned buildings, electrical).
