MAU is hiring a Generator Technician for our client in Jackson, MS. As a Generator Technician, you will install, troubleshoot, and maintain commercial back-up power systems for telecommunications, emergency services, and local businesses. This is a direct-hire opportunity. This is a remote, site-based role. Candidates must live near or south of Jackson, MS, as regular travel to local client sites is required.

Required Education and Experience High school diploma or GED 2+ years of relevant experience Basic electrical knowledge General Requirements Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record Must pass and maintain drug and alcohol testing Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive bending and twisting Must be dependable and able to work independently Strong troubleshooting skills and familiarity with shop equipment Proficient in a Windows-based environment (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook) Professional appearance and commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment DOT medical card required Essential Functions Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on commercial generators Troubleshoot and diagnose generator issues Evaluate and recommend necessary repairs Maintain up-to-date knowledge of various generator models Provide excellent customer service Perform other duties as assigned Working Conditions Field-based work environment; travel required to customer sites
