Job Description
We are seeking motivated individuals to perform construction material testing and witness special inspections on construction projects throughout the Tri-State area. You will be involved in the placement and compaction of structural fills, soil subgrade verification, reinforced concrete, structural masonry, sprayed fire resistive materials, and visual inspection of high strength bolting and welds. Additionally, you will perform field testing of concrete, grout, and mortar, and effectively communicate and coordinate with engineers, contractors, and clients.
ResponsibilitiesConduct construction material testing and special inspections.Perform field testing of concrete, grout, and mortar.Read drawings and specifications accurately.Write detailed reports and create sketches.Communicate and coordinate effectively with engineers, contractors, and clients.Prepare and submit reports of inspection activities.File documentation and complete required technical report forms in accordance with the IBC.Essential SkillsACI or ICC or DCA certification.2-5 years of testing experience.Proficiency in report writing for reinforcing inspection and concrete inspection.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering technology, or related construction fields is preferred.E.I.T. Certificate.NJDCA / ACI / ICC Reinforced Concrete Special Inspector.NJDCA / ICC Structural Masonry Special Inspector.ICC Soils Special Inspector.NICET Level II soils Certificate.NJDCA / ICC Structural Steel & Bolting Special Inspector.NJDCA / ICC Structural Welding Special Inspector.Certified Welding Inspector (CWI).NJDCA / ICC Sprayed Applied Fire Proofing Special Inspector.Work Environment
The role involves traveling up to two hours to job sites, with the flexibility to leave directly from home after completing training, rather than meeting at the office.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $40.00/hr.
