Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of **Field Corrosion Technician** located in Greeley, CO through August 17th, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time).
**Job Overview:**
Field Corrosion Tech are proficient in CP maintenance work processes required for the safe, accurate and efficient operation of pipeline systems. They coordinate their own work and work with other team members or contractors in performing daily CP maintenance work processes.
**Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:**
+ Conduct surveys of corrosion management systems (internal and external), equipment and facilities. Inspect and evaluate the conditions of coating systems on existing or new pipe and equipment and ensures necessary coating repairs are made.
+ They coordinate their own work and work with other team members or contractors in performing daily CP maintenance work processes.
+ Perform annual surveys of corrosion management systems, equipment, and facilities with guidance from CP Specialists and Technical Maintenance Services.
+ Inspect and evaluate the conditions of coating systems on existing or new pipe and equipment and ensures necessary coating repairs are made.
+ Take bi-monthly rectifier inspection readings.
+ Evaluate survey and inspection information and make necessary system adjustments, corrections or repairs -- including but not limited to; disconnecting electrical power to rectifiers and making rectifier repairs, troubleshooting low potentials and making adjustments, maintaining and repairing grounding systems, inputting data into CP data bases and generating necessary reports, collecting and installing corrosion coupons on pipeline systems, providing field. inspection of atmospheric corrosion control projects.
+ Perform interference testing.
+ Non-Exempt Position.
**Work Conditions:**
+ Extensive amount of driving to different locations in an Oil and Gas setting.
+ Bulk of work takes place outside (Mud, Heat, Cold).
**Required Qualifications:**
+ Field Corrosion Techs must have and maintain NACE CP Level 1 certification.
+ High School/Equivalent
+ A valid Driver's license.
+ Able to work weekends, nights, holidays, overtime, and short notice shift coverage as needed.
+ Experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Effective communication skills, teamwork skills, problem solving ability.
+ NACE CP Level 2 certification (Not Required).
+ NACE CIP Level 1 certification (Not Required).
**Relocation Options:**
Relocation **may be** considered within chevron parameters.
**International Considerations:**
Expatriates **will not** be considered.

+ The anticipated hourly wage for this position is $50.32.
