Field Based Account Manager (NY)

Job Description:

Summary

The Field-Based Account Manager (FBAM) is responsible for growing the Wynn’s performance chemicals and Rain-X wiper blades portfolio within their automotive aftermarket territory.  This position drives significant organic growth with existing and new customers by targeting new business opportunities, including cold calls and conquest strategies. This role is responsible for maintaining strong relationships with assigned distributors, and automotive dealerships. The FBAM champions the ITW brands of Wynn’s and RAIN-X, promoting innovative solutions in the automotive industry. Success in this role directly supports corporate growth levers/objectives and strengthens ITW’s position as a market leader.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Sales Growth and Market Expansion:

Develop and execute business plans to drive revenue growth and achieve sales targetsIntroduce and sell new and existing ITW products and services, including Wynn’s and RAIN-X offerings, to current and prospective customers.Align with Distributor partners to achieve significant growth by prospecting and cultivating leads at New Car DealershipsGenerate new opportunities and establish partnerships with new distribution partners

Strategic Relationship Management:

Build and maintain strong relationships with assigned distributors, and dealership personnel.Serve as a trusted partner and brand advocate for ITW, fostering collaboration and long-term loyalty with clients.Identify and close new business opportunities through proactive outreach, including cold calls and strategic targeting of untapped markets.

Training and Brand Advocacy:

Conduct product training and demonstrations for distributors, dealership advisors, and sales teams to promote understanding and adoption of ITW products.Educate customers on the benefits and features of ITW solutions, employing consultative sales approaches that emphasize safety, performance, and long-term value.Deliver tailored messaging to highlight Wynn’s and RAIN-X brand value propositions.

Operational Excellence:

Develop and implement sales strategies using ITW marketing programs and analytics to meet defined objectives.Utilize dealership-specific software platforms (e.g., DMS, schedulers, menus) alongside ITW’s suite of online portals and tools to support customer engagement and sales processes.Create accurate short- and long-range forecasts for territory and accounts, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.

Customer-Centric Focus:

Anticipate and address customer needs, adapting strategies to diverse geographies and dealership environments.Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to customize campaigns and offerings for targeted regions.Respond to challenges with creative solutions that build trust and drive results.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree with 3+ years of sales experience in a relevant field.Proven success in sales within the automotive dealership channel or aftermarket preferred.Mechanical aptitude or a working knowledge of automotive systems strongly preferred.

Skills and Competencies:

Results-driven with a proven ability to exceed sales goals and objectives.Strategic planning and pipeline development experience to drive revenue and expand territory.Ability to effectively establish and expand relationships with key executives and decision-makers.Adaptability and self-direction in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Demonstrated high proficiency with Microsoft Office SuiteFamiliarity with dealership-specific software such as DMS, scheduling tools, and menu platforms.Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.Travel: Must be willing to travel up to 60% of the time. A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.

Compensation Information:

$64,800 - $97,200 Annually
