Roche Diagnostics is looking for a Pathology Field Application Specialist to join the support team in Ontario. Preference for candidates based in the Greater Toronto Area.

The Field Application Specialist (FAS) provides after-sales support to customers on Roche Diagnostics Product Portfolio. The application support provided on the phone, by email or during site visit is in the form of troubleshooting assistance, technical product information, operation instructions, product application information, operator training and a variety of application-related work (set-up, optimization, workflow, correlation, etc).

The FAS suggests solutions upon consulting with the local and international teams and supports other Roche colleagues with in depth product expertise. The FAS works in close collaboration with the sales team to assist in driving sales. The FAS also complies with Roche procedures as well as documentation requirements.

Some travel outside of Ontario may be required depending on support needs in the country.

The opportunity

Provide timely support to customers for technical issues, including occasional after hours.

Offer post-sales support by assisting with new parameter setup and answering technical questions.

Install and configure instruments, reagents, and set up assays.

Conduct customer training sessions.

Work with Field Support Representatives, IS/IT Specialists, Technical Support Specialists, and Senior Advisors to troubleshoot issues.

Create and update customer-facing documentation for support and training purposes.

Attend training on Roche instrumentation and guidelines, participate in conference calls, and provide backups for colleagues during heavy workloads.

Perform comprehensive administrative duties including recording customer interactions, reviewing key performance indicators, and handling expense reports and schedule planning according to Roche's policies.

Provide pre-sales support to Account Executives by tailoring approaches for customers, demonstrating applications, presenting Roche solutions, and leveraging technical knowledge to drive sales and assist with RFPs.

Who You are

You hold a community college or DEC diploma (3-year program - MLT certification) or Bachelor Degree in Life Sciences with 5+ years of experience in a Diagnostic Laboratory environment with a focus on Pathology

You have the ability to analyze and resolve situations while maintaining a high-level of customer service

You possess and apply troubleshooting skills including: identification of the probable cause of a problem, identifying the corrective action, verifying positive results and if necessary escalating any unresolved problems

You demonstrate strong presentation & communication skills

You have availability and flexibility to travel within Ontario and to other regions within Canada

May be required to be available for after hours work occasionally

You have a valid Canadian driver's license
