**About the Role:**
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced FHIR
Architect to lead the implementation of CMS-0057-F (Interoperability and
Patient Access) requirements for our healthcare clients. This critical
role will involve designing, developing, and implementing FHIR-based solutions
that enable seamless data exchange and improve patient access to their health
information. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of FHIR
standards, healthcare interoperability regulations, and experience working
directly with healthcare providers and payers.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Lead the architecture,design, and implementation of FHIR-based solutions to meet CMS-0057-Frequirements, including Patient Access APIs, Provider Directory APIs, andPayer-to-Payer Exchange.
+ Collaborate with clientsto understand their specific needs and translate them into technicalrequirements.
+ Develop and maintainFHIR profiles, extensions, and value sets to ensure interoperability andcompliance.
+ Provide technicalguidance and mentorship to development teams on FHIR best practices andimplementation strategies.
+ Conduct code reviews andensure the quality and performance of FHIR-based solutions.
+ Stay up-to-date on thelatest FHIR specifications, healthcare interoperability regulations, andindustry best practices.
+ Participate in industryevents and contribute to the FHIR community.
+ Troubleshoot and resolvetechnical issues related to FHIR implementations.
+ Work closely withproject managers to ensure projects are delivered on time and withinbudget.
+ Create and maintaintechnical documentation related to FHIR implementations.
+ Advocate for and promoteFHIR adoption within the organization and with clients.
**Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's degree inComputer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
+ 10+ years of experiencein software development, with a focus on healthcare interoperability.
+ 5+ years of experienceworking with FHIR (HL7 v4) and related technologies (e.g., RESTful APIs,JSON, XML, Node.JS).
+ **Experience implementingMicrosoft FHIR Server as part of Interoperability solution is a must have**
+ **Experience implementingSmileCDR, Firely, Onyx - Good to have**
+ Deep understanding ofCMS-0057-F regulations and their implications for healthcareorganizations.
+ Experience implementingPatient Access APIs, Provider Directory APIs, and Payer-to-Payer Exchangeusing FHIR.
+ Strong knowledge ofhealthcare data standards, including HL7 v2, CDA, and FHIR.
+ Experience with APIsecurity best practices (e.g., OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect).
+ Excellent communication,interpersonal, and presentation skills.
+ Ability to workindependently and as part of a team.
+ Experience with Agiledevelopment methodologies.
+ Experience withcloud-based FHIR platforms (e.g., AWS HealthLake, Google Cloud HealthcareAPI) is a plus.
+ HL7 FHIR Architect orsimilar certification is a plus.
