FGFD System Project Manager - BeNelux

Responsibilities Purpose of Position: To define, initiate, plan, manage, manage and control MSA portfolio FGFD (FGFD = Fixed Gas Flame Detection) projects, managing the complete project life cycle within budget and on time. Additionally work in conjunction with all company departments to satisfy both project and customer needs. The Systems Project Manager is to establish, refine and maintain a suitable project management methodology for MSA and promote its use where appropriate. The incumbent needs to be pro-active, have a positive attitude, be a team player, have excellent problem solving skills to handle all potential issues arising during the project life cycle. Responsibilities: Plan FGFD Projects Define the scope of FGFD projects (FGFD = Fixed Gas Flame Detection) Support the FGFD sales team during the project tender stages, providing technical support and specifications mark up, cost estimates, feasibility studies, drawings including 3rd party products in line with customer / sales enquiry Support the after sales team during implementation phase Support the tender team with quotations Create a detailed work plan, which identifies and sequences activities needed to successfully complete the project Develop a schedule for project completion that effectively allocates the resources to the activities Determine resources needed to complete the project Determine tools and instruments to complete the project Determine the objectives and measures upon which the project will be evaluated at its completion Define and consider the project risks Manage the portfolio projects Execute FGFD Projects Execute the project in line with the project plan Manage the project technical documentation requested by the customer and produce the documentation needed for the manufacturing department (such as wiring, layout, technical specification, etc.) Provide all technical documentation for the manufacturing and external suppliers Provide the customer and / or MSA Field Technician with technical support needed for both the commissioning and start-up phases Set up files to ensure that all project information is appropriately documented and secured Monitor the progress of the project and make adjustments accordingly to ensure the successful completion of the project Establish Communication schedule to update stakeholders on the progress of the project Review the quality of the work completed with the project team on a regular basis to ensure that it meets the project standards Use specific tools in aid of completing the project i.e. CAD for project documentation, MSA SAP, project management tools and tools that help improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the FGFD business Maintain supplier relationships including conducting quality checks and inspections in line with MSA technical documentation / specification Manage and co-ordinate FAT and SAT Provide support to the expediting department responsible for delivery / shipping Monitoring & Control FGFD Projects Monitor all budgeted project expenditure Ensure that all financial records for the project are up to date Ensure that all project deliverables are on time, within budget and at the required level of quality, Evaluate outcomes as established during the planning phase Control the project purchases, in order to control the availability of materials and their time need Technical support Provide the customer and/or MSA field technician with the technical support needed for the commissioning. Manage and coordinate the FAT and SAT (if requested). The SAT can be a port of the after sales service technician job. Work closely with after sales team in case of any project trouble shooting Work in cooperation with Global engineering team Qualifications Experience required: Comprehensive understanding of current industry technical standards and practices Project management experience Very good communication skills Ability to communicate on all levels Ability to meet deadlines through good time management and allocation of priorities MS Office and CAD proficiency Understanding of Pneumatic and Electrical circuit diagrams Dutch and English proficiency Experience preferred: SAP (PS Module) Either French/German Education: Electrical (BTS / IUT/ HND degree) Project Management Travel: Estimated 10%, possibility to travel abroad 5% #LI-AS1
