Job Requirements
Take full ownership of FFS project deliverables, ensuring timely and high-quality outputs that exceed customer expectations.Lead and mentor a team of engineers and analysts in FFS assessments, providing technical guidance, training, and performance monitoring.Conduct Level 1, 2, and 3 Fitness-for-Service evaluations in accordance with API 579-1/ASME FFS-1 standards for pressure vessels, piping, and storage tanks.Review inspection data, perform damage assessments, and determine remaining life and safe operating conditions of equipment.Identify applicable damage mechanisms (e.g., creep, fatigue, corrosion, embrittlement) and recommend appropriate mitigation or repair strategies.Collaborate with inspection and integrity teams to ensure accurate data collection and interpretation for FFS analysis.Develop and validate engineering calculations, finite element models, and fracture mechanics assessments as required.Prepare detailed FFS reports and communicate findings and recommendations clearly to clients and stakeholders.Support root cause failure analysis (RCFA) and provide technical input for repair plans and fitness evaluations.Ensure compliance with international codes, client specifications, and regulatory requirements.Interface with clients and project managers to align on scope, deliverables, and timelines.Contribute to continuous improvement of FFS methodologies, tools, and knowledge sharing within the team.
Work Experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical, or Materials Engineering.Minimum 6+ years of experience in Asset Integrity, Mechanical Engineering, or FFS assessments.In-depth knowledge of API 579-1/ASME FFS-1, ASME Section VIII, API 510/570, and related standards.Proficiency in engineering tools such as FEA software (ANSYS, ABAQUS) and FFS software.Strong understanding of NDT techniques and their application in FFS evaluations.Experience in corrosion assessment, fracture mechanics, and stress analysis.API certifications (e.g., API 579, API 510, API 570) are highly desirable.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, technical environment.Strong command of English, both written and verbal.
