PURPOSE: 1.1. This document prescribes the expectations, skills, and education / experience requirements for the position identified. 2.0 ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES 2.1. Execute job duties in a safe and efficient manner. 2.2. Each person, regardless of role or position, is responsible for Food Packaging Safety and Quality and GMP. 2.3. Perform visual inspection of cartons for printing, die-cutting and gluing defects while feeding and packing cartons. 2.4. Verify case count. 2.5. Assist operators and assistants as needed. 2.6. Participate in line clearance procedures after each item is completed. 2.7. Work in other areas as needed, including sorting, and Flat Packing. 2.8. Perform quality checks on the product they produce and materials coming to their machine. 2.9. Accurately count, label, and inventory products they produce and materials coming to their work area. 2.10. Assist with make-readies. 2.11. Keep area in specs within all 5S requirements. 2.12. Work in a fast-paced environment. Complete tasks in a timely manner. 2.13. Report any issue or event that poses a risk to employee safety, the environment and facilities, or food packaging safety and quality. 2.14. Follow all applicable policies, procedures, and instructions. 2.15. Participate in continuous improvement activities, corrective actions, and training. 2.16. Perform other related tasks as assigned. 3.0 EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE 3.1. High school diploma or equivalent required. 3.2. Must have the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions. 3.3. Must have the ability to perform basic arithmetic including addition and subtraction. 3.4. Must be willing to work overtime as needed; significant overtime may be required during busy periods. 4.0 SAFE WORK REQUIREMENTS 4.1. PPE: Safety Glasses, Ear Plugs, Safety Shoes, Gloves. 4.2. Compliance with Safety expectations as listed in Employee Handbook. 5.0 ABSENCE PROVISION 5.1.
